Left: BORG 12.5 cm, f: 800 mm ED refractor.
An eyepiece is made in Germany with focal length of 30 mm,
and 88 degrees apparent field of view, combined with a Russian right
angle erect prism. Magnification of 27x with actual field of view 3.3
degrees, this is my ideal comet-seeker I dreamed in my boyhood! The star
image is very sharp.
Right: A mounting is the TA altitude-azimuth made by CARTON
OPTICAL INDUSTRIES, LTD., Japan. As shown in the photo, I improved
this mounting: counter balances can be attached on both side of the mounting
quickly, and this enabled free stop and smooth motion. Digital setting
circles are installed.
